A young man is in a serious condition in hospital after an assault in Lucan, West Dublin.
The 20-year-old suffered serious head injuries in the attack, which took place at Ballyowen Lane last night.
Gardai want to speak with anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area between 11pm and midnight.
In particular, they are looking to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Ballyowen Lane or Ballyowen Shopping Centre.
They are also appealing for drivers with dash-cam footage from the scene of the attack to hand it in to a Garda Station.
