A young boy has been seriously injured during a dog attack in Tallaght.
The 8 year-old was set upon at a house at around 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
A number of dogs were involved in the attack.
The child was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries.
He has since been removed to Crumlin Children's Hospital.
The dog warden has been notified and the dogs have been confiscated.
A full investigation is underway by Gardaí at Tallaght Garda Station.
