Women's Aid is warning people to spot the signs of online abuse in relationships.
The domestic violence charity is launching it's "Too Into You" public awareness campaign on social media, aimed at young women aged 18 to 25.
A study by the organisation found three in five young people have experienced, or know someone who's been abused in an intimate relationship.
CEO of Women's Aid, Sarah Benson, says online abuse, in particular, has been increasing in recent years;
"That can be stalking, harassment, and using online to both track somebody and then also to perhaps demean or further abuse them like sharing an intimate image without permission."
Juliana Shiel, a survivor of intimate relationship abuse and Too Into You Ambassador, explains the importance of the campaign;
"When you are abused by a partner it can feel like you are trapped like you have nowhere to turn. You can second guess yourself and feel like you are going crazy. But this is not your fault. If you are worried at all about how your partner treats you, you can chat to the Women’s Aid helpline team on the Instant Messaging Service available at TooIntoYou.ie, it’s completely free and confidential. You don’t have to suffer in silence."
