A woman and her newborn child are said to be doing well after she gave birth on a city centre street.
She was helped by emergency services after she could be heard screaming on Inns Quay shortly before half one this morning.
The HSE, Gardai, and Dublin Fire Brigade were all involved in what's they've described as a "sensitive" case.
Dublin Fire Brigade received a call at 1.26am.
It's understood passers by heard a woman screaming and came to her aid.
Dublin Fire Brigade says the patient was removed from there to hospital, after the successful delivery of the baby.
Both the woman and the baby are said to be doing well.
The street was closed off for several hours while gardai examined the scene.
