A woman has died after being hit by a car that was being used in a robbery in south Dublin overnight.
Gardaí are searching for three men.
This incident took place at about 9.20 last night, when a number of men entered a convenience store on Barnhill Road in Dalkey.
They threatened staff before making off with a sum of cash. However no one was injured.
They fled the scene in a car that was then involved in a collision with with two female pedestrians at the junction of Ballinclea Road and Avondale Road in Killiney.
The men abandoned the car at the scene and fled on foot.
Fatality
A 54 year-old woman was taken to St.Vincent's University Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The other female pedestrian, who is 51, remains in hospital for treatment. However her injures are not believed to be life-threatening.
The three men who were in the car haven't been located and searches are ongoing.
Appeal
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are particularly appealing to those with camera footage (including dash cam) who were in the area between 9pm and 9.30pm.
