Two weather warnings have been issued for Dublin.

A yellow rain warning came into affect this morning and is set to last until 5am tomorrow. Met Éireann has issued the alert for the entire country.

It says heavy squally downpours and thunderstorms will bring a risk of spot flooding at times today and tonight.

Meanwhile Dublin, along with Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork, Kerry and Waterford will see a yellow wind warning kick in at 5pm this evening, lasting until 5am tomorrow.

It comes after Storm Ellen made landfall overnight, cutting off power supplies to tens of thousands of homes and businesses. Munster was worst hit.

Parts of Cork also reported severe flooding after a red alert was issued for the county.
