A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit and run in Whitehall.
21-year-old Gerard Whyte from Ballymun died after being knocked down at the junction of Swords Road and Collins Avenue.
It happened at twenty past midnight, late Thursday night into the early hours of Friday.

It was a white lorry cab, with no trailer on the back.
The driver didn't remain at the scene.
This evening, a man in his 50s was arrested in connection with the incident.
He's being held at Ballymun Garda Station.
Gardaí also say they've recovered a HGV articulated tractor unit.
Earlier, any drivers with dash-cam footage of what happened were asked to hand it in to Gardai.
