A spokesperson for Zayn Malik has denied he's joining The X Factor this year. The Daily Star are linking the former One Direction star to the role, after Louis Tomlinson was ruled out because of his busy schedule.
Zayn quit the band in March telling fans he wanted to be a 'normal 22 year old' but source told the newspaper: 'Zayn’s been told he’d make a great judge and it’s him rather than Louis fans really want. Louis and the other boys will be touring next year, too.'
Simon Cowell still hasn't officially confirmed if Louis Walsh and Mel B will be back, but he has said Cheryl Fernandez will join him on the panel this year.
Last week, Nick Grimshaw denied he's been approached about a role on the show.
