The cast who are bringing one of the biggest musicals back to Dublin has been announced. The insanely popular Wicked is flying back into the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in 2018.
The Bord Gais Energy Theatre has confirmed that Amy Ross will take up the role of Elphaba, Helen Woolf will play Glinda and Eastenders' actor Aaron Sidwell will play Fiyero.
The musical is based on Gregory Maguire's novel and tells the "other" story of the two witches of Oz, which people will know best from The Wizard of Oz. The show last came to Dublin in November 2013.
Starting in Bristol in February 2018, Elphaba and co will then follow the yellow brick road through the UK, before arriving in Dublin in August 2018.
Wicked celebrated ten years in London's West End last year, and has been thriving on Broadway in New York City since 2003. It originally starred Idina Menzel, but the less said about that the better...
Tickets for the Dublin leg of the show at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre are on sale now.
