The Grafton Street lights and the festive coffee cups can only mean one thing - Christmas has landed in Dublin.
Whether you want to catch a movie or are in the mood for mulled wine and carols, here's some of the best Christmas experiences in the city:
1. Visit The Hole In The Wall
This pub near the Phoenix Park in Ashtown is renowned for it's Christmas decorations and attention to detail. Even the biggest Scrooge will be impressed by the various array of baubles, wreathes and stockings.
2. Wild Lights
Nothing says Christmas like magical, sparkling lights and the display at Wild Lights in Dublin Zoo is no exception. This year's theme is Ocean of Light so expect giant illuminated silk lanterns in the shape of jellyfish, seahorses and penguins.
3. Christmas Carols in Christchurch
You know the songs off by heart so experience them like never before with a visit to Christchurch. Catch a mix of classic carols and modern favourites at their 'Carols by Candlelight' event or bring your pooch to the Peata Carol Service. There's something for everyone!
4. Santa's Train
Are you a fan of the Polar Express? You can hop on your very own festive steam train when The Santa Special takes off from Heuston Station. The vintage steamer includes an on-board visit from the main man himself - Santa - as well as music, singing and mince pies. Bliss!
5. Dublin's Christmas Market
The annual Dublin Flea Christmas Market is a must-see for anyone who loves arty festive crafts, jewellery, collectables and more. It runs over two weekends in the Point Village from December 6th – 9th and again from the 13th – 16th.
