The Belvedere Annual Sleepout and Fast takes place this week.
From December 22nd-24th, 75 Belvedere College Students will be sleeping out and collecting on the streets of Dublin for #SleepOut16.
They are raising much needed funds for homeless charities Focus Ireland, Peter McVerry Trust and Home Again.
Despite last year’s massively successful total of €192,000, the students emphasise that homelessness is still a growing issue in Ireland.
Michael Walsh, one of the student organisers, said “We’re not trying to replicate homelessness, only offer an insight and raise awareness of the issue, and hopefully some money in the process.”
