Ruth Negga has been nominated for a Bafta in the Rising Star category for her role in the movie Loving.
The film tells the story of an inter-racial marriage in Virginia in the 1950s. However Negga missed out on the Leading Actress nominations.

La La Land leads the award shortlist with eleven.
Best film nods go to Arrival, I Daniel Blake, La La Land, Manchester By The Sea, Moonlight.
Leading Actor nominations are for Andrew Garfield, Kacey Affleck, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Gosling, Viggo Mortensen.
Up for Leading Actress are Amy Adams, Emily Blunt, Emma Stone, Meryl Streep and Natalie Portman.
The ceremony takes place on the the 12th of February.
