Mr. Bean actor Rowan Attkinson came to the rescue as he helped save a McLaren F1 driver's life after he crashed his car in Tuscany. The accident happened between the towns of Saline di Volterra and Pomarance. The driver lost control of his vehicle travelling at 240mph before swerving off the road crashing into a tree.
Attkinson was driving in a motor enthusiast convoy at the time and stopped immediately to help when he was what had happened, leaving his own sports car on the side of the road.
According to the Telegraph, 59 year old Attkinson was seen picking up pieces of debris from the wrecked sports car which was completely destroyed after ending up on it's roof.
Firefighters, medics and the Italian police were immediately called to the scene. The Mr. Bean actor stayed around until a helicopter arrived to airlift the crash victim to hospital. The driver was airlifted to hospital in Pisa, where he is now said to be recovering.
