Voting has now closed for 98FM's Best of Dublin Awards 2017. It's been our biggest year yet with almost 800,000 votes.
The winners will be announced at our exclusive awards ceremony, which takes place on Tuesday May 23rd at The RDS.
Meet the nominees for Best Gym:
FLYE fit
FLYE fit is an Irish chain of low cost gyms from only €29 a month with free classes & no contracts. They have 7 gyms across Dublin & have been operating for 5 years.
A spokesperson for FLYE fit told 98FM:

David Lloyd Gym
David Lloyd Gym is located in Clonskeagh, Dublin 4 and is part of The David Lloyd Leisure Group, which operates 83 clubs in the UK and a further 12 clubs across Europe.
A spokesperson from David Lloyd told 98FM:

Ger Conroy Fitness
Ger Conroy has been in the fitness industry for over 13 years and opened Ger Conroy Fitness in Mulhuddart Village on 1st October 2014. Their second gym will be opening this July, at Junction 6 Castleknock. Just like their logo says, "Improving your life through fitness”, they pride themselves on getting their members results both mentally and physically.
Ger told 98FM:
“Our biggest accomplishment to date is creating a great community spirit within the gym, as well as winning 98FM's Best Of Dublin Award for Best Gym in 2016. We are absolutely delighted to be in the final again this year and this would not have been possible without the loyal and dedicated members that we are privileged to have.”
ActiveYou
ActiveYou is a gym trying to put the personal touch back into the fitness industry. They want people to get active and stay active. They work very closely with each individual and will not rest until they have helped them to achieve their individual goal. Located in Drumcondra, they opened their doors in January 2014 and have gone from strength to strength since.
A spokesperson from ActiveYou told 98FM:
“Getting nominated in the 98FM Best Of Dublin Awards for the second year is a massive achievement for us. We are not a big commercial gym with endless revenue to pump in. We are a smaller, more personal gym with a family type atmosphere. 98FM gives companies like ActiveYou a chance to be recognised for its hard work and and level of commitment. Our approach is different; it's personal and our members are a family. It's an honour to be nominated by them for Best Gym in Dublin.”
Active 8
Active8 is a family run business. The team are passionate about fitness & helping people reach their goals. They have been helping the people of Dublin 15 get fit for just over 5 years now and are based in unit 9C Rosemount Business Park, beside the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.
Active 8 told 98FM:
“We are absolutely delighted to have been nominated by our members, never mind making the final. It means a lot to us as we are a tight community at Active8.”
