98FM’s Best of Dublin Awards celebrate everything that is great about our city. We got in almost 800,000 votes over the past fortnight making it our biggest year yet.
The winners will be announced at our exclusive awards ceremony on Tuesday May 23rd at the RDS.

Philly McMahon
The Ballymun Kickhams defender has become a key part of Jim Gavin’s Dublin side in recent years, as the Boys in Blue sweep all before them. Four All-Ireland titles, seven Leinster crowns, five Allianz Leagues and two All-Stars mark McMahon out as one of the best and most complete defenders in the modern game. He has also picked up Dublin and Leinster wins with his club.

Garry Ringrose
Ringrose has emerged as one of the biggest bright lights in Irish rugby over the past two seasons. Often dubbed “the next Brian O’Driscoll”, the former Blackrock College pupil has formed an impressive centre partnership with Robbie Henshaw for both Leinster and Ireland over the past 12 months, making his Irish debut against Canada at the Aviva Stadium last November. He was named the Rugby Players Ireland Players’ Young Player of the Year earlier this month.

Stephen Cluxton
Dublin captain Cluxton has been an ever-present in the incredible success the Boys in Blue have achieved over the past six years. The goalkeeper’s historic last minute free to win the 2011 All-Ireland final is often seen as the catalyst that kick-started this period of glory for Dublin. The Parnells Clubman, who has five All-Stars to his name, is widely thought of as the greatest goalkeeper of the modern era, if not of all time.

Con O'Callaghan
O’Callaghan emerged as Cuala’s superstar, during their historic winning run in 2016/17. The forward notched seven goals, en route to a first ever Leinster and then All-Ireland hurling crown at Croke Park on St Patrick’s Day. Dual star O’Callaghan was also a member of the Dublin Senior Football panel that claimed All-Ireland success last October, while he also co-captained Dublin’s Under 21s to All-Ireland glory against Galway last month.

Robbie Brady
What a year it’s been for Baldoyle’s finest, Robbie Brady!! The Republic of Ireland’s best player at Euro 2016 scored the famous winner against Italy in the final group game, to send the Boys in Green through to the last 16. His exploits in France saw him win Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Year at the 'Three' FAI International Awards in March. Brady also sealed a move to the Premier League in January, joining Burnley from Norwich City.
