Koko, a gorilla fluent in American Sign Language, is said to be greatly saddened by the news of Robin Williams death.
Members of the Gorilla Foundation, in California, shared this story saying that 'Koko came to Dr. Patterson with an inquiring look on her face. Dr. Patterson explanied that "we have lost a dear friend, Robin Williams." Koko was quiet and looked very thoughtful'.
Robin and Koko were said to have struck up a friendship, back in 2001, when he visited the foundation. Koko smiled for the first time in six months upon meeting Robin.
