You're going to need your winter woolies over the coming days. According to Met Eireann the winter weather is set to worsen over the weekend, with the possibility of snow in some parts of the country.
There will be scattered showers today with highs of 8-12 degrees. Tonight will be freezing with lowest temperatures ranging 1 to 6 degrees Celsius.
It will be mainly clear with light westerly breezes and frost. There's a possibility of a few scattered showers.

Friday
Tomorrow will be cold with highest temperatures of 8-10 degrees, with blustery winds. Thundery showers will persist in the northwest as well as near west and southwest fringes. Friday night will have lowest temperatures 1 to 5 degrees Celsius, and it will be coldest in the east.
Weekend
The weekend is set to be cold with sunny skies. Some parts of the country will experience rain and hail showers - mainly the Northern and Northwestern counties and along Atlantic coastal fringes as well as the East coast at times.
There could be a few wintry flurries possible for higher ground.
It'll be cold throughout with a widespread frost by night and maximum temperatures of only 6 to 9 or 10 degrees Celsius.
Monday
It'll be mainly dry on Monday with light northerly breezes. Eastern counties are likely to see occasional showers - perhaps even the odd wintry one on higher ground, especially early on in the day.
Another frosty start with the risk of ice. There will be highs of only 6 to 9 degrees Celsius.
