Hula Hoops is bringing back one of the biggest basketball events of the year.
The Hula Hoops 3x3 National Basketball Championships kicks off on Saturday May 18th.
3X3 is an exciting format of the game, with teams of only three players taking to Bray Seafront.
Hula Hoops Teams
Sixteen teams from the Basketball Ireland National League go head to head to be crowned champions.
This year's men's teams include Templeogue, Maree, Ulster University Elks, IT Carlow, Kubs, Lions and Fr. Mathews go to battle for the title.
While the women's competition sees DCU Mercy, Fr. Mathews, Killester, Ulster University Elks, IT Carlow, Templeogue, Liffey Celtics and Marble City Hawks contesting the title.
DCU Saints picked up the men’s title at last year’s hugely successful inaugural event.
Ambassador UCC Glanmire took the women’s championship.
Some of the top players in the country are taking part, so it's certainly going to be a brilliant day of basketball!
Games tip off from 9.30am at Bray Seafront, with the top two from each group qualifying for the semi-final stages.
Admission is also free on the day.
