Alpaca lovers rejoice! A number of Alpaca Farms across the country will open their gates to the public this Sunday, September 24th, to celebrate the first Irish National Alpaca Day.
The free event allows visitors to get up close to the alpacas. People may also see cria (baby alpacas), touch and feed the alpacas and learn about their fibre and about raising and breeding them.
Check out the full list of farms taking part here.
No reservations are required. Organisers have asked for visitors to leave their pets at home – no dogs will be permitted on the farms.
