The Morrison Hotel will be transformed into a world of magic for Ireland's first Hogwarts Spring Gala next month. The gala, which will raise money for charity, will see Harry Potter fans dress up as wizards, witches, and muggles.

Organisers promise guests will be treated to a Dingle Gin potion on arrival and will enjoy a three course meal with wine, along with games and magical entertainment.

Laura O'Brien said whether you have "only seen the movies or can recite each book word for word there will be something for everyone on the night."

"We decided that for that extra bit of magic all proceeds would be donated to Spinal Injuries Ireland", she added.

Kevin Dempsey from Spinal Injuries Ireland said the funds raised "will go towards crucial services such as our Community Outreach Programme which provides support and information to people living with a spinal cord injury and their families."

"The event will also help to raise awareness of the devastating impact that a spinal cord injury can have. On average, one person sustains a spinal cord injury every week and it can happen to anyone at any stage".

The Hogwarts Spring Gala will take place on March 31st 2017 at the Morrison Hotel. You can find out more about tickets and the charity here.
