Jedward, Kodaline, Fresh Re, and Danny O’Carroll were among the stars that attended an anti-bullying showcase event hosted by Facebook in Dublin this afternoon.
The event highlighted some of the best peer-led anti-bullying practice taking place in schools across the country.
The Diana Award ‘A Guide to Anti-Bullying Activism on Facebook’ was officially launched in Facebook's European HQ t. The online resource shows how educators and campaigners can use Facebook pages to raise awareness of bullying and provide support to young people. (More info HERE)
The Diana Award was set up for young people in memory of Princess Diana. Her sons The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry support the award. So far over 1,200 young people from 120 schools across the Republic and Northern Ireland have been trained as Diana Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
Jedward said: “We’re so proud to be supporting the amazing work of all the Irish Diana Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. I know that bullying can be incredibly damaging and it’s important that young people come together to end its harmful effects.”
