S-Town is the first official Serial spin-off series from Serial Productions. Hopefully Serial host Sarah Koenig is busy working on a new Serial series as journalist Brian Reed, a regular on This American Life, is the host of S-Town.

 

S-Town is a new podcast about a man named John who despises his Alabama town and decides to do something about it. He asks longtime This American Life producer Brian Reed (pictured here) to investigate the son of a wealthy family who’s supposedly been bragging that he got away with murder. But when someone else ends up dead, the search for the truth leads to a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man’s life.
