Festival season in the city officially kicks off this Bank Holiday Weekend with Forbidden Fruit.

The seventh instalment of festival takes place on the grounds of the Irish Museum Of Modern Art, The Royal Hospital Kilmainham from 3rd-5th June.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the event:

Opening 2 Hours before gates & Closing at 9.30pm.

Closes strictly at 9pm each day

BY FOOT

Pedestrian access is via East Gate, Military Road and West Gate, James St.

BY CAR

There is no parking at the venue. Traffic Restrictions will be in place on Military Road and Kilmainham Lane. The nearest public car park is Park Rite Parking Lot at 7 Queen Street, Dublin 7

From the West: Off N4 towards Heuston Station

From the North: Off M1 towards Heuston Station

From the South: Off N7 towards Heuston Station

BY BUS FROM CITY CENTRE

Route No 40, No 123, No 13 (every 10-15 min on Friday and Saturday, 20-30 min on Sunday)

from Upper O'Connell Street / College Green

take bus 40 towards Liffey Valley

take bus 123 towards Walkinstown

take bus 13 towards Grange Castle

Route No 79 / 79A (aproxx every 15-20 min Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

from city centre Aston Quay, Temple Bar

take bus 79 towards Spiddal Pk

go out on Saint John's Road West stop

Route No 25A (every 10 min on Friday, 20 min on Saturday, 30 min on Sunday)

from city centre Wellington Quay, Temple Bar

take bus 25A towards Lucan S.C.

FROM PALMERSTON

From Palmerston towards Kilmainham take routes 25A or 66A

BY TRAIN

From Celbridge go to Heuston Station; 5 minute walk from Heuston Station.

From Maynooth go to Connolly Station

From Greystones go to Connolly Station.

From Balbriggan go to Connolly Station.

From Connolly take LUAS Red Line towards Saggart to Heuston Station.

BY LUAS

Take Red Line from The Point towards Saggart, exit to Heuston Station and it is 5 minute walk to East Gate entrance via Military Road.

MOBILITY IMPAIRED ACCESS

Vehicles with a mobility impaired badge will be permitted to approach the concerts from James Street and Bow Lane where they will be directed via Military Road to the East Gate and from there to the Mobility Impaired Car Park.

Display of mobility impaired parking sticker in a visible position is necessary.

Banned Items 

Festival goers should not bring backpacks or any large bags to the festival this weekend.

The below items are also prohibited:

  • No liquids 
  • No illegal drugs 
  • No fireworks 
  • No drones
  • No professional recording equipment 
  • No pets 
  • No Large Umbrellas, (Pocket size is fine)
  • No smoking in enclosed spaces
  • No parking at the venue
  • No re-enrty with Day tickets

Tickets

Two day weekend tickets are sold out but there are still a limited number of day tickets available here.

Areas

There will be an Inflatable Church, Disco Dodgems, a Wedding Disco and Bingo Loco at the festival along with a Comedy Tent, Funfair and loads more. Read more here

Taxis

After the show Taxi’s will be located at Hilton South Circular Road and Heuston Station, both minutes walk from the venue.

After Parties
