FLYEfit is expanding. The Irish chain is opening three new low cost gyms in Ireland next year.
The new gyms in Sallynoggin, Liffey Valley and Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork City are being fitted out ahead of their scheduled opening in early January 2019 and range in size between 20,000 and 25,000 sq. ft.
“We are especially delighted to open in Cork which has been on our horizon for some time. We took our time to find the right building in the heart of Cork City and to develop a facility that we know locals will enjoy. The demand for membership has exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to being part of the local community,” said a FLYEfit spokesperson.
FLYEfit first opened its doors in Ranelagh in 2011. It currently operates 11 gyms, all of which are located in Dublin. These gyms operate at Baggot Street, Drumcondra, Dundrum, Georges Street, Macken Street, Portobello, Swords, Ranelagh with CHQ vaults, Stillorgan and Tallaght opening this year.
The FLYEfit membership model makes it easy to sign-up and to book over 60 free classes online. Members pay a €25 joining fee and can then choose to pay €29 per month or €259 annually to access any one gym, or €32 per month or €299 annually to access all FLYEfit gyms. There is no contract and members can cancel or even pause their membership online if they are taking a break from the gym.
Each of the new gyms - at Pearse Street in Sallynoggin, Fonthill Road in Liffey Valley and Stapleton House in Cork City feature Spin Studios, Cardio and Strength Equipment, an Astro Area, a Free Weights and Functional Zone, boxing zones and Olympic lifting platforms. The new FLYEfit gym in Cork City will also include a Conditioning Chamber when it opens. This new facility will be equipped with rowers, ski ergs, assault bikes and air runners.
