A musical version of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory is coming to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.
Already a smash hit on the West End, it's coming to Irish stages in December - the perfect Christmas evening out with the family!
The musical, based on the Roald Dahl book (and the many iconic movie musicals based on that), tells the tale of a young Charlie Bucket who hits the jackpot when he wins the golden ticket and gets to visit the famous Willy Wonka.
Beyond the gates of that mysterious factory lies an incredible world of edible delights beyond their imagination. But the 5 ticket winners gradually discover that not everything is as sweet as it seems.
The musical will feature songs from the iconic 1970s film including ‘The Candy Man’ and ‘Pure Imagination’ as well as a host of new numbers by the multi award-winning composer and lyricist of Hairspray and Mary Poppins Returns, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
Tickets go on sale Friday the 2nd of March
