Bill Cosby will receive the Johnny Carson Award for Comedic Excellence at the American Comedy Awards next month. .
He's best known for his sitcom 'The Cosby Show' which ran from 1984 to 1992 on NBC.
The award was first given to David Letterman back in 2011.
