With another few days to go until the kids go back to school, you might be looking for something fun to do with them.
To make your job a tiny bit easier, we've compiled a list of the best family friendly events taking place in Dublin over the next month.
Young Chef Classes
When: 26th August
Where: Airfield, Dundrum.

Is your child a budding chef or do they love to help you out in the kitchen?
The young chef classes for 8-12-year olds will run four times during the year with seasonal menus and take-home recipes. Children will explore our food gardens and harvest their own ingredients for the different dishes they produce.
Classes will be led by the Airfield education, restaurant and bakery team in a relaxed and fun environment. Children will see the process of food from farm to fork and get hands-on, learning kitchen safety with correct utensil care. They will soon be getting creative in the kitchen preparing delicious healthy meals that they can recreate at home

GENEius Little Stories

This Heritage Week at the Irish Family History Centre we’re celebrating all of our stories from across the world! Come along to our arts and crafts party and tell your story. We’ll be getting creative, making fingerprint family trees on canvas, and trying on some time-travelling costumes!
Pre-Booking is mandatory for this event as spaces are limited.

Rocket Recall Workshop

Totally Terrific Tomato Festival
When: 18th - 26th August
Where: National Botanic Gardens
Cost: Free
An exhibition of tomato cultivars and their relatives - tobacco, potatoes, chilies, petunias, and even deadly nightshade - will be on display until Sunday 2nd September
There will be a series of talks - Tomato Tales- amongst the speakers will be tomato addict Nicky Kyle, and Director of the Gardens Matthew Jebb.
Ukulele Hooley
When: Saturday 25th August - Sunday 26th August 2018
Where: Dún Laoghaire

Bring the whole family along to Europe’s longest running ukulele festival for a sing-song and a dance.
The event will host a selection of workshops, open mike sessions and an amazing lineup of ukulele artists, both local and international.
