The August Bank Holiday is here and we’ve compiled a list of some of the best Mother and Daughter dates Dublin has to offer this weekend.
For the fittest families the Wild Air Run in Marlay Park will keep you entertained over the Bank Holiday. It’s a 5K run with inflatable obstacles that are guaranteed to give you some laughs (or wheezes if your runners have been gathering dust lately). Whether you fancy doing it just the two of you or want to tucker out the kids while you catch up over coffee, it’s a fun one. Be sure to check out the delicious food stalls and gorgeous gardens in Marlay Park while you’re there.
If you fancy something funkier Beatyard festival is back in Dun Laoghaire this weekend. You’ll find it hard to find nicer food anywhere else this weekend as the first ever Irish Street Food awards are taking place here. The finalists will be here bringing their best bites to Beatyard so go with an empty belly. As well as great grub Beatyard has groovy acts lined up like Air, Bananarama and Mark Ronson.
Regina Spektor is another must on our list for this weekend. She brings her hauntingly beautiful voice to the Bord Gais Theatre this Sunday. To make it a full day out enjoy Le Drunch at the Marker before hand.
If the theatre is your thing ONCE the musical is back in The Olympia. This stunning stage adaption has gone down a storm. ONCE has won 8 Tony Awards, an Oscar and a Grammy so it should impress even the fussiest of Mammies.
