The big day is almost here! 98FM's Rainbow Run with VITHIT - Ireland's biggest and first colour run - takes place this Saturday, September 16th from. There's 5km of colour-blasting fun on Dun Laoghaire West Pier.
Here's everything you need to know if you're taking part:
What to wear
Everybody should try to start the race dressed in as much white as possible (although not essential) and at intervals along the route you will be bombarded with different colours until you cross the finish line and enter the colour festival covered in a kaleidoscope of pinks, blues, greens, yellows, purples, reds and every mixture of colours you can think of! Don’t worry though, the powder that we use is a non-toxic and natural corn-starch based product that will not cause damage to anybody. You can also buy more powder at the colour stations with all proceeds are going towards the Jack & Gill Foundation.

Registration & Start Time
Registration opens at 10am. Make sure you bring your printed Eventbrite tickets to register unless you have pre-registered in Lifestyle sports earlier this week. The race starts at 2pm.
The Run Is Focused On Fun
This unique run involves participants of all abilities and ages being doused from head to toe with coloured powder paint while they run, jog or walk our running route on Dún Laoghaire west pier. There is no competitive atmosphere. You can be an Olympic athlete or someone entering a run for the first time in your life, it really doesn’t matter at all. The real winner on the day is the person who has the most craic!
Festival Village
With the run kicking off at 2pm, we will have music and entertainment getting everyone in the mood for the run at the start line from midday.
After the run we will be joined by Smash Hits along with a DJ bringing the party to Dun Laoghaire with a mixture of 90s hits and all out classics.
Our sponsor VITHIT will be on site giving out loads of their VITHIT flavours.
Fulfil will also be there giving out samples & giving you a go in their fun football ring.
Lifestyle sports will have a slow motion area where you can get a cool video for your Instagram!
There'll also coffee, pizza, bbq & ice cream vendors on site.
