The 98FM Rainbow Run with VITHIT - Ireland’s BIGGEST and first colour run is back for 2017!
This unique run involves participants of all abilities and ages being doused from head to toe with coloured powder paint while they run, jog or walk our running route on Dún Laoghaire west pier.

Focused on Fun! The 98FM Rainbow Run is entirely focused on FUN so there is no competitive atmosphere, no recorded times and no age restrictions, all that matters is that you enjoy yourself and finish covered in loads of colour! You can be an Olympic athlete or someone entering a run for the first time in your life, it really doesn’t matter at all. The real winner on the day is the person who has the most fun.
What to expect at The 98FM Rainbow Run 2017? Everybody should try to start the race dressed in as much white as possible (although not essential) and at intervals along the route you will be bombarded with different colours until you cross the finish line and enter the colour festival covered in a kaleidoscope of pinks, blues, greens, yellows, purples, reds and every mixture of colours you can think of! Don’t worry though, the powder that we use is a non-toxic and natural corn-starch based product that will not cause damage to anybody.
Pre/Post- run entertainment – Smash Hits will be performing at the event. This Dublin six-piece is comprised of experienced musicians performing the best of classic 90s tracks from acclaimed artists such asVanilla Ice, MC Hammer, House of Pain, Take That, Spice Girls, Haddaway, Prodigy and Snap, amongst others. We will also be bringing you top DJ’s and live performing music acts on our main stage! These music acts will be played as you cross the finish line and during the large colour bombs that will occur before the event starts!
