Swansea City Football Club says it's "sickened" by "disgusting" racist abuse aimed at an Irish international player.
Over the weekend a loan deal was approved which saw Dubliner Michael Obafemi switch from Swansea to Burnley.
Following that, offensive comments were posted on social media aimed at the Republic of Ireland player.
Swansea City Football Club has issued a statement saying it's aware of "disgusting racist abuse" about the 22 year old
It says it's "sickened" by the vile language and that it is working to identify those responsible, and will take the "strongest possible action."
The abuse has been reported to police.
The Irish Network Against Racism has denounced the abuse, adding that racism has no place in football, and no place in society as a whole.
