Drivers are being warned to take extra care on the roads this morning as a status yellow weather warning remains in place.
Icy conditions are affecting some parts of the country.
Met Eireann issued a snow and ice warning for all counties in place until 8am.
Temperatures dropped below freezing in some areas last night.
The weather is causing delays for some flights at Dublin Airport too.

As a result, frost and ice are making driving conditions more difficult on some routes in Carlow, Naas, Mullingar, Wicklow and on the M7 in Kildare.
AA's Barry Aldworth says people should allow extra time for your journey.
He said: 'If it feels too dangerous to make your journey to work wait for a couple of hours.
'Allow yourself that extra bit of time. Anticipate that there are going to be delays on many routes.
'And remember, only allow yourself to make that journey to work if it's safe to do so.'
