Severe flooding has been reported in parts of the country after Storm Francis hit overnight.
Dublin is currently under yellow wind and rain warnings. Met Éireann says intense rainfall could lead to accumulations of 30 to 50mm with surface flooding.
The rain alert will last until 9pm tonight while the wind warning is in place until 7pm.
Elsewhere a status orange rainfall warning is currently in effect for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

Hundreds of homes and businesses are without power, while parts of Cork including Bantry and Bandon have been badly effected by the second storm in the last week.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather describes the conditions the morning;
"The heaviest of the rain overnight is moving north now but unfortunately as Storm Francis pulls through winds will increase through this morning and into this afternoon in the southern half of the country, with some very strong and damaging gusts."
