A trailer has dropped for Mufasa: The Lion King. It’s a prequel to the live action version of The Lion King released in 2019, featuring voices from Beyoncé and Donald Glover:
Mufasa: The Lion King follows young Simba at the beginning of his reign over the pridelands, while exploring the origins of his late father Mufasa’s relationship with his brother Scar.
The story is being told to Nala’s daughter Kiara. Nala was voiced by Beyoncé in the first movie, and Kiara is voiced by her real life daughter Blue Ivy Carter!
James Earl Jones, the voice of Mufasa, was the only actor from the original 1994 movie to reprise his role for the 2019 live action film. However he did not sign on to Mufasa: The Lion King due to taking on less work as he gets older.
Understandable as the man is 93 ?
