High spring tides and gusty conditions have combined to make for challenging conditions along some of our coasts this weekend.
Dublin's South Bull Wall was closed for two hours yesterday after high-tide coincided with a 'large wash' from shipping traffic going in and out of Dublin Port.
The next high spring tide during daylight hours is approximately 2pm today.
Irish Coast Guard Operations Manager Gerard O'Flynn says it's good to be cautious around exposed slipways or piers at this time of year:
"Just pay atttention to forecasts and if there is something dangerous like a pier that's been covered with water, follow local instructions and avoid any silly stuff," he said.
