Buying online from the UK comes with an extra tax charge from today.
VAT will be charged on all goods arriving into Ireland from non-European Union countries, including Britain.
Goods with a value of up to 22 euro were previously exempt from VAT.
However, Revenue says from today all purchases will have VAT imposed regardless of their value.
