Bohemians FC have seen a run on tickets not seen in years ahead of their Dublin Derby clash with Shamrock Rovers next Friday.
Fans had queued up from 8am this morning -- and tickets were completely sold out by 15.35 this afternoon.
Bohemians FC marketing director Daniel Lambert says the demand shows the Bohs fan-base has outgrown Dalymount Park's current capacity.
He says they've done their best to make sure season ticket holders were first served.
"The last ticket just went there -- we haven't seen queues like this at Dalymount for as long as I can remember," he said.
"It's unprecedented really. We could have sold multiples of the tickets we had and we just want to thank everyone who came down and apologise to those who didn't get a ticket."
"We estimate we could have sold over ten thousand tickets for a game like this so when you have a capacity that's basically a third of that there's always going to be people who didn't get tickets."
"We tried to do our very best with the tickets we did have to ensure they went to members and season ticket holders and people who are going week in and week out and we think we've done that," he said.
"What this highlights is the Dalymount redevelopment needs to happen and it needs to happen soon," he said.
