So as it turns out – we’re not going to need a bigger boat!
That’s right, one of THE WORLD'S tallest ships will sail in to Dublin port next week on a 5 day visit.

The ARM Cuauhtémoc is a sail training vessel of the Mexican Navy weighing 1800 tonnes and towering at 30 ft high.

It's arrival marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ireland and Mexico and will be visited by President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina.

It travels around the world carrying a message of friendship and goodwill, and it also carries 225 sailors, who might (or might not) be seeking friendship and goodwill..

Dessie Curley: “An Irish sailor wasn't good enough for you, what?”

The Cuauhtémoc will enter the city in style with with a cannon salute in Dublin Bay.
