UEFA Champions League Real Madrid vs Juventus - RTE 2, 7.30pm

Juventus lead going into the 2nd leg 2-1 but Carlo Ancelotti hasn't been quiet about his desire of Real becoming the first team to win back-to-back Champions Leagues. Be nice to Gareth Bale lads.....

The World's Most Expensive Food - Channel 4, 8pm

The first in a 2 part documentary, it gives an insight into how the super-rich of London feed themselves, and it's not on 3-in-1's I can tell ya. The excess, like paying €425 for a cup of coffee to €33,000 for a tin of caviar, might leave you wanting to puke up your dinner and slapping wealthy people in the face with a bit of cop on.

The Affair - Sky Atlantic, 9pm

This show has taken a while to make it to television on this side of the water which is surprising considering that it actually seems to be good - it won best drama and best actress for Ruth Wilson at the Golden Globes this year - and we're more laissez faire about the subject matter - an affair - over here. Regardless, it has made its way to a channel you may not have if you're a UPC customer, Sky Atlantic, and begins with a double episode. This slow burner is about professor Noah, played by Dominic West, having an affair with waitress Alison, played by Ruth Wilson. What becomes clear is that both have a different version of events and the police are involved as they recount their tales in separate interview rooms. Also starring E.R favourite Maura Tierney as the wife of Noah, Helen and PACEYYYYY*, sorry, Joshua Jackson as Alison's boyfriend, Cole; What's not to like.

* Yes, I still sing 'I donwaaaannnnnnaa wait for our lives to be over...' every time I see a cast member from Dawson's Creek. Sorry lads.

Best Exotic Marigold Hotel - RTE1, 9.35pm

I am a huge fan of he mid-week movie, HUGE, and RTE seem to have found a bit of change down the back of the couch recently as they are palatable again. They have knocked it out of the park with tonight's offering. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is about a group of retirees who can't afford to live in England in their dotage so move to a retirement home in India run by Dev Patel. Starring Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Penelope Wilton, Tom Wilkinson and the eternally sexy Bill Nighy, this movie is just lovely.

What to set your recorder for: Nashville - TG4, 11.30pm

Now in its 3rd season, this show may seem like a hard-sell; there are lots of musical numbers (UGH) but at least they're songs and not people speaking/ singing, it's about country music (may conjure up images of Billy Ray Cyrus' 'Achy Breaky Heart' but it is also the music of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and Willie Nelson who are all amazing) and there isn't a huge amount of diversity (the two black characters lasted as long as an open pack of cheddar in your fridge) but it's got melodrama, bitchiness and chemistry between lead characters that the director of Mr & Mrs Smith would be jealous of. If you're not on it, get on it; if you are, tonight Rayna with her daughters Maddie and Daphne get ready to perform at a gala WITH Deacon - come on you guys, GET IT TOGETHER.

Also, this song from the second season is one of the best songs to ever come from film or television. (Video contains spoilers for those of you whom have never gone country.)
