The Hangover - RTE 1, 9.35pm

This is the movie that catapulted Bradley Cooper to stardom but let's be perfectly clear about this: HE IS ONLY HOT IN THIS MOVIE. American Sniper, nope. American Hustle, definitely not. Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy... okay, maybe if you're into anthropomorphic animals. Even though he and Gerard were cute feckers with their selfie taking and general loved up-ness at Wimbledon, still nope. Proof:

It's all about the Scot here. Now that's been cleared up; The Hangover. You've probably watched it a million times but it's Wednesday and who needs the hassle of flicking channels tonight. Four lads head off to Las Vegas on a stag do. They lose said stag. Run into domestic violence lover Mike Tyson and his tiger. Break stuff and themselves. Hilarity ensues.

Speaking of hangovers....

Horizon: Is Binge Drinking Really That Bad? - BBC2, 9pm

If you drink alcohol you have probably asked yourself the question, 'Am I an alcoholic?' at least once, especially when you wake up fully clothed beside your bed on a Sunday morning with a half eaten garlic & cheese chip safely tucked up in the bed. Binge drinking is a trickier thing because... well, is 4 a binge, 5, 3, 7, 21? I think 21 drinks in an evening could safely be called a binge but, what do I know. The people who might are identical twins and doctors - their mother must be SO proud - Chris and Xand van Tulleken. They self-experiment with Chris drinking 21 units of alcohol evenly across the week and Xand (yes, Xand) having his 21 in single weekly binges. After a month, what will their bodies tell us. Looks very good, does this.

Tyrant - RTE 2, 10.50pm

New show alert. It was bound to happen, an American drama that brings in the politics of the Middle East with actual Middle Eastern people. Bassam 'Barry' Al-Fayeed is a doctor who has been exiled in the US for 20 years when he agrees to return home for his nephews marriage with his American wife and children. Oh, did I mention that he is also the second son of a fictional middle eastern dictator. Hilarity ensues. Sorry, intrigue, intrigue and bad stuff ensues.

Set the Recorder for: Nashville - TG4, 11.30pm

The third last episode of season 3 sees Juliette being her excellent, devil may care best to get her career back on track after the birth of her and Avery's baby. Gunnar has a run in with his ex and in flashback scenes we see Rayna and Deacon digitally made younger. Tis gas.
