Pat Devlin has criticized the FAI's decision to restructure the League of Ireland from the 2018 season.
As a result of the decision, three Premier Division clubs will be relegated to the First Division while only one will be gain promotion to the top-flight.
Cabinteely boss Devlin believes this was the incorrect move "The bottom line is they've made a decision and I think it's the wrong decision, there's no logic in it. There's 20 teams in total, six teams voted for it, and the other 14 teams are left to drift."
Despite the vote, Devlin said clubs need to from a united front in future decisions "The league is one, not them and us. It has to be one league. So I think the decision made was the wrong one."
