For the second year running, one of the most exciting, innovative, funny, raucous events in the radio calendar is happening; 98FM's Naked Breakfast on The Ray Foley Show.

Now, this is my promise to you: you will not have to be naked nor permanently do damage to your eyeballs by seeing any of The Ray Foley Show team naked. I pinky promise. No, there aren't going to be ridiculously attractive people serving you breakfast naked either. THERE WILL BE NO NAKEDNESS.

Ray and JP naked. YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO SEE THIS.

Me, kinda naked backstage at the first Naked Breakfast. Nope, you're not gonna have to look at this.

So why the hell do we call it The Naked Breakfast? Well, you know how things on the radio aren't exactly live? They are but they aren't. We lie to you guys. Taylor Swift or The Script are never in studio, singing in the corner live for your pleasure; the ads, we play them off things called carts and sometimes, we even record our interviews before you get to hear them on the radio - Colin Farrell is a beautiful, genius of a man but he can curse like every character from a Quentin Tarantino movie stubbing their toe at once. We gotta beep that sh*t out.

So, now that I have ruined your life by telling you all the things we lie about in radio, I will magically restore your faith by telling you that on The Naked Breakfast everything IS live. EVERYTHING. Ray, JP and I will be live. Then again, we always are; as are Deeno and Derek on news and sport but here's where it gets interesting - everything else you hear is live as well.

All of the songs played on the show the morning of The Naked Breakfast are live. All of the ads played on The Naked Breakfast are live. All of the background music played for presenters to talk over. Guess what? IT'S BLOODY LIVE!

This was the set up for The Naked Breakfast in Vicar Street last year. On the left you have Keywest. They played all of the background music live as well as performing their songs live. Behind them are the ridiculously talented Eric Lawlor, Christiane O'Mahony, Tara Flynn and Paddy Courtney who performed all of the ads live and I do mean performed. They acted the crap out of them and turned each ad into a mini comedic play. In the middle are Ray and JP. On the right are The Coronas, the resident band for the show and finally, furthest right is 98FM's brilliant voice over guy, Dave Foxx who came over from New York just so you could hear him saying 98FMMMMMMMMMM live.

So, I think you've got it now. It's the most LIVE radio show you will ever hear or see in your life unless you travel back to the BBC in 1930.

The Naked Breakfast won heeeeeaaaaaps of awards last year. Seriously, a pile of radio awards but if you don't work in radio, why would you give a crap about that. The thing the awards point to is that it was amazing. Like, truly amazing. I didn't work on The Ray Foley Show last year but I worked that day with the team as did most of us in 98FM and we had a ball.

So, we've decided to do it again. What can I tell you about it this year? Last year it was in front of 400 people in Vicar Street. This year, it'll be 1,000 people in the RDS on Friday 27th of November. Do you wanna come? Apply here. Yes, we will feed you. Can you imagine, inviting people to an event called The Naked Breakfast and not feeding them. That would be rubbish.

Keywest are gonna be back. I've warned them there is a 'no getting goolies out' policy. They'll get it eventually.

Ray, JP and I are gonna be there as are Derek and Deeno. Obviously and, who else... I CAN'T TELL YOU. It's a secret but it's bloody brilliant. Like, properly brilliant. I'm known for having a loud mouth and I've been taken into a room and threatened that if I don't keep my trap shut about this, I'll have to clean up the entire RDS after we're finished the show. I really don't wanna do that.

So, that's my rough guide to The Naked Breakfast. I do hope you'll come along. It'll be great craic lads, swear.

Join Ray, JP & Muireann every weekday from 6-10am only on 98FM.
