Folks,

98FM’s weekly sports show “Now That’s What I Call Sport” airs every Sunday morning from 9-10am.

Presented by myself Johnny Lyons, this week’s show is broadcast on Sunday April 12th and features the following guests :

Jonny Cooper –

Always a thrill to have one of the Dubs 2015 version on the show! And so it is with Jonny who’s on to fill us in on what he’s doin' off the pitch.

The Dubs corner back, along with fellow Dub Paul Flynn, is one of 26 county players who are on the new GPA Jim Madden Leadership programme which aims to develop the group with the necessary skills to become successful leaders in the community.

And, Jim Gavin there’s no need to worry – not one footballing question crops up in the interview !!

So to Jonny Cooper and Paul Flynn I exhort them to “ Go forward and lead”!

---

Collie Moran –

On the day the Dubs are in National Football League semi final action we just had to have a Boys in Blue superstar on the show! And boy does Collie fill that role.

He’s a former skipper of the Dubs who picked up five Leinster titles including two as captain. And I’ve no doubt he’d have gone on to win many more and perhaps an All Ireland had not the body given out on him – he was forced to retire with a hip injury in his late 20’s.

Collie looks ahead to the NFL double bill at Croker including the Dubs against Monaghan. And – I promise you – there’s no leadership questions!

---

Francis Howley –

Well there’s two questions on everybody’s lips at the Masters in Augusta?

Firstly how’s Rory doin and secondly where’s Tiger in the mix?

You know I’ve never found it easy watchin’ golf - it doesn’t wash over me as they say. And, oh lord! It was a major bugbear to me as I tried ever so valiantly to get cricketers out in their whites every weekend as Match Secretary of Pembroke!

The problem is you can’t play both – to be fair to golf it only takes four hours! And there’s always the nineteenth hole! One I was good at scoring birdies on!

But there’s one saying associated with golf I want banned forthwith  – IN THE HOLE!  GET IN THE HOLE! The source of aforementioned offence, generally rotund and unfortunately, fecund Yanks who have sunk a few beers and wanna let it all hang out and not just aurally!

In dogmatic Catholic mode a la Bruce Arnold, I say BAN EM!

Anyways, former European Tour pro Francis looks back and ahead to Sunday’s play where, to be fair, it’d be great to see the bould Rory complete the Grand Slam.

---

Darragh Lenihan –

It’s always pleasing to turn the focus on the young guns as they attempt to blaze to glory cross channel. And this week 21 year old Darragh’s in the Now Sport spotlight.

The Dubliner made the headlines earlier in the season as his on loan move to League Two Burton Albion coincided with a spurt up the table under the leadership of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

He’s back with his parent club Blackburn Rovers and the midfielder was unlucky not to be sprung from the bench as they lost so narrowly to Liverpool in the quarter finals of the FA Cup midweek.
