SSE Airtricity League First Division Shelbourne have signed former Ireland international Stephen Elliott, subject to international clearance.
Elliott has been playing professionally in England and Scotland since 2003, with Man City, Sunderland and Hearts among his former clubs.
The club announced the surprise signing over the weekend and manager Kevin Doherty told Jamie Moore how the move came about.
Doherty and Elliott himself were guests on Now That’s What I Call Sport on Sunday morning.
The 32 year old says he’s happy to be home in Dublin and playing football again after a serious injury.
