This morning on The Ray Foley Show we were joined by footballing legend Ronnie Whelan.

He's around town tonight to host a charity gig along side Christy Dignam from Aslan and Joe Jewell!

The night is in aid of a charity called Myaware.ie, which supports those living with Myasthenia Gravis, an illness which causes the muscles to become severely weak.

Ronnie's own daughter, Elizabeth, was diagnosed with Myasthenia when she was just eighteen, so it's a matter quite close to his heart.

The gig is called, "Some Songs & Stories" and it takes place tonight (18th Nov) at Harry's on the Green from 8.30pm. Doors just €10 with a raffle on the night for two Liverpool match tickets.

Now we couldn't possibly have an Irish football legend on the show, without asking him what he reckons our chances are in the Euro's next year...

Check out the interview below:

Join Ray, JP & Muireann every weekday morning on The Ray Foley Show from 6-10am on 98FM.
