The creators of the classic 80's TV show, MacGyver want to bring us back tot he world of chewing gum and paper clips saving the world, with one small difference; they want a woman to be the star engineer that defuses bombs, saves children and rocks a mullet like Richard Dean Anderson did from 1985 to 1992.
The US National Academy of Engineering, the University of Southern California's Viterbi school of engineering and the MacGyver Foundation are running a competition to create a new show, called, "The Next McGyver."
I'm ordering my Swiss army knife right now.
The fun doesn't stop there. The Beautiful people of Netflix are bringing back Inspector Gadget which we haven't seen for years. ( The Matthew Broderick live action version never happened, OK.)
People in the US will get to see it in March of this year with a release date for Ireland at a later date.
And the fun doesn't stop there. Oh No. Disney is bringing back Duck Tales but they are going to leave us hanging until 2017. 2017....... I can wait that long. If you can't, have a blast of the theme below.
To be fair, the premise of this cartoon - that money is the most important thing in the world and must be accumulated and protected at all costs - is a bit shady for young kids but, hey, we have all wanted to ski down a money hill at some stage in our life.
Now all they need to do is bring back 'My So Called Life' with the original cast for the world to truly be a magical place.
