“My hair was falling out, my bones were thinning from the lack of nutrients my body had”
They are the words of 17 year old Emele Gibson whose weight dropped to a low as FOUR STONE when she was at the most difficult stage of her battle with anorexia.
Emele suffered from the eating disorder for four years after the death of her dad.
She describes it “an awfully sneaky illness, one that makes you do the most ridiculous things to trick people into thinking you’re eating”
Thankfully, she is now at a healthier 8 stone 7 pounds on joined Adrian Kennedy to tell her story on Thursday.
The 17 year old, from Kildare, says her relationship with food has totally changed and she is now a regular and her local gym and a blogger on Instagram.
She encouraged other young girls who are suffering from anorexia to seek help.
