A motorcyclist is the latest person to be killed on the country's roads.
He's lost his life in a crash on a motorway in North Dublin.
The man was driving his motorbike on the M1 motorway northbound, when it crashed near Junction 6 Balbriggan at around a quarter past 7 yesterday evening.
The motorcyclist in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured in the single vehicle collision.
The scene was sealed off by forensic collision investigators last night.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area at the time, are asked to make it available to Gardaí in Balbriggan.
