Folks,
98fm's weekly sports show "Now That's What I Call Sport" airs every Sunday morning from 9-10am.
Presented by myself Johnny Lyons, this week's show broadcast on Sunday June 15th features the following guests :
1. James Bannon -
Nice name but not so nice when he was runnin' with the boyz in the hood, guv'nor!
James was what is quaintly known as a Bushwhacker (they used to eat Andy Ash's Reading fans for brekkie) !
He was a member of the Millwall Mafia, running amok with the infamous Den boyos in the 70s/80s who were a notorious bunch of hooligans causing mayhem wherever Millwall were in town.
Thankfully, for Dirty Smelly Leeds supporters like myself that was mostly in the old Second Division !
Anyway, there is a twist in the tale.
And like all good thrillers youse will have to toon in to find out !
Okay I'll tell you - although completely subsumed into the cabal, James was actually an undercover cop all the time, eventually responsible for putting away scores of undesirables behind bars where they belong.
Funnily enough, I'm sitting beside Damien the imager who's a mad Millwall fan but definitely not a chip off the old Bushwhacker block!
Crash bang wallop - jaysus Damo's lost it !!
2. Gareth Farrelly -
As our resident World Cup expert, former Republic of Ireland international midfielder Gareth makes the first of his contributions on what's going on during the world's greatest game's showpiece tournament in Brazil.
Up the Dutch - eh and Ghana, my bleedin' lottery team !
3. Humphrey Kelleher -
Ex manager of the Dublin hurling team looks back on the Dubs' Leinster Championship opener against Wexford at Wexford Park on Saturday.
Competition :
3 prizes - 2 World cup shirts and a pair of boots to giveaway with thanks to LifeStyle Sports.
Thanks,
Johnny.
