Bohemians 0-2 Shamrock Rovers

“Dublin Is Green And White Tonight” was the shout from the Shamrock Rovers fans as they eased to a 2-0 victory of rivals Bohemians at Dalymount Park on Friday night.
The Hoops scored two brilliant goals and fully deserved their win.
Bohs improved in the second half but didn’t threaten the Rovers goal properly.
The opener game in the 6th minute.
Graham Burke’s cross from the right found Brandon Miele, who was back in the team having been left out last weekend, and he found the bottom corner first time with his right foot and celebrated right in front of the Rovers fans.
Bohs could have been level and then ahead before Rovers got their second.
Ian Morris couldn’t get his header from Lorcan Fitzgerald’s corner on target before Paddy Kavanagh made a total mess of his shot from Oscar Brennan’s cross.
The Hoops then went up the other end and scored, and what a cracker it was.
Trevor Clarke has been their best player this season, he cut inside, picked his spot, and lashed his left footed shot into the far top corner, Bohs ‘keeper Shane Supple didn’t even move.
Bohs only real threat was from from set pieces.
Fitzgerald’s free kick hit Gary Shaw’s face in the Rovers' wall, while a number of Ian Morris long throws caused trouble without testing Tomer Chencinski.
Stephen Bradley’s team managed the game well in a second half, Graham Burke’s snap-shot could have added more gloss to the score, but Supple saved well.
This win moves Rovers’ up the 5th, for Bohs, it’s 10th place which is inside the relegation zone.
